Portfolio > Vitreographs

Vitreography is a printmaking technique where prints are pulled from a glass plate instead of a traditional matrix of wood, stone or metal. I hand pull these prints using glass plates that I first hand engrave and then ink. The deeply engraved areas of the glass are picked up by the printing process, leaving an embossed surface on the paper. The glass plate is re-inked between each print, resulting in a unique, one of a kind piece of art.
